Le Concours International de Chant Georges Enesco est le seul concours qui accueille à la fois les jeunes professionnels et les grands amateurs d’art vocal et a la particularité de proposer dans le programme du concours le répertoire contemporain, se distinguant ainsi par son originalité et ses exigences artistiques. 
Il s’inscrit dans la continuité du prestigieux concours international George Enescu, fondé en 1958 à Bucarest. Après une interruption durant la dictature communiste, ce concours a repris en 1991. En 2002 la section chant a disparu du calendrier du concours de Bucarest et sera fondée à Paris en 2014 par la Société Musicale Française Georges Enesco, l’Association Noesis, avec le soutien de La société des Éditeurs et Auteurs de Musique (SEAM ) et de l’Institut Culturel Roumain de Paris, ainsi que de l’Ambassade de la Roumanie en France. Depuis 2020 Le Concours International de Chant Georges Enesco et le concours international George Enescu ont établi un étroit partenariat.

The Georges Enesco International Singing Competition is the only competition that welcomes both young professionals and grand amateurs of vocal art and has the particularity of featuring contemporary repertoire in its competition program, thus distinguishing itself by its originality and artistic requirements.

It continues the legacy of the prestigious George Enescu International Competition, founded in 1958 in Bucharest. After an interruption during the communist dictatorship, this competition resumed in 1991. In 2002, the singing section disappeared from the Bucharest competition’s calendar and was founded in Paris in 2014 by the French Georges Enesco Musical Society, the Noesis Association, with the support of the Society of Music Publishers and Authors (SEAM) and the Romanian Cultural Institute in Paris, as well as the Romanian Embassy in France. Since 2020, the Georges Enesco International Singing Competition and the George Enescu International Competition have established a close partnership.
